Move Inventory
Use Move Inventory when the physical Location is wrong or the stock has moved. Scan or search for the inventory, select or scan the destination Location, review the move, and confirm it.
The current Location changes and an inventory movement event is recorded. Quantity does not change. Where the screen supports it, more than one inventory record can be prepared for the same movement workflow.
Location behavior follows the tracking level. Scan an available inventory label or use search/selection, then scan or select the destination Location. The workflow validates the selected inventory and destination against current rules before saving.
For example, after the received almond Lot is Available, move its physical RM-ALMOND-RU Container from RECV to ST-A01. Scan the Container label and the ST-A01 Location label where convenient. This moves the same Container and records its history; it does not create new inventory. Use Adjust Inventory when the recorded quantity itself is wrong.
